Village
Inside a city

Inspired by a true story

This innovative concept rejuvenates the city center by blending modern architecture with historical heritage, inspired by Barcelona's 'Urban Village' model. It's tailored to Medina's customs and culture, balancing local colors and shapes for both beauty and function.

The design aims to foster community in a dynamic urban space, maintaining Medina's unique identity. It's a blend of contemporary design and historical essence, showcasing modern architecture's harmony with Medina's spirit.

Inspiration

Dove: Everyone seems to agree that these doves are unique and need to be handled as such. They have been bestowed with freedom, tranquility, holiness, and security by Islam.

Feathers: This is what we hope to illustrate here; they are a symbol of comfort, clarity, and calm.

Wing Lines: The wings have two lines that together form a unique shape.

The city center redevelopment includes a venue for major events and cultural gatherings, aligning with Medina’s role as an Islamic landmark. Inspired by a local bird symbolic to the city, the design integrates this motif, catering to modern public needs while emphasizing Medina’s cultural and spiritual identity.

This renovated neighborhood reflects Medina’s history and ideals in a modern, inventive way, functioning not only as an urban core but also as a meeting place for old customs and modern living.
